What a bunch of whiners. From the beginning he said he shifted back into 2wd. Sure it's unlikely, but entirely impossible? I could see it happening from revving it to 5 grand and dropping the clutch. Now back to the original question, use a programmer.

containing hills, curves, and corners. The course simulates
actual conditions encountered in pursuit or emergency
driving situations in the field, with the exception
of other traffic.

It wont out handle a Chevy Impala or Ford Crown Vic but it was not too far behind them. By the way- Heres the top speed test data from the same report.

There was a post here or somewhere else from a guy that was road racing a Cherokee on the track. Did really well from what he said. I can't find it now though.

Impala on the course. They didn't have one of the Jeep.

Not to hijack the thread but this is sorta what they put them through-

Kinda slow till about 40 seconds in.

Back on track-

Curious if the auto-trans units have the cutoff and the manuals don't??

Had a set of Nissan Pickups like that once.

here is how the limiter kick in 36 second see how i cant hold the camera its more dangerous than the speed yes because when the limiter kick its like you hit something then the speed go down speed limiter in other suv more safer than the xj you dont feel it it just stop the speed from rising

without the idiot limiter this jeep can do 210 km for sure and by the way its in 4th gear (5 speed manual)

I made little ricers cry with my MDX... which I suppose is just a bigger ricer.

I'd love to have a speed limiter that was set to 70. Or maybe have it aware of the current speed limit of where I'm driving. That way I have no concern of getting a speeding ticket.

Yes, it is entirely impossible for a bone stock Jeep Cherokee to be traveling in a straight line at 80mph and send enough power down the drive line to cause the rear tires to break traction with the dry pavement.

Carry on.

This thread is like "How do I shoot my gun perfectly vertical?" and expecting to get straight answers.
