Lol i've done plenty of research. And i'm sorry if you didnt know, but all jeeps were made basically the same from factory.. And i'd say the driver dont make a damn when your going 80 unless you're going sideways.. I guess you just know how to hit the gas pedal better than me?

Here is what I do know: 4.0H.O, header, exhaust, ax-15 and 3.07 gears. That's it. Nothing more. I'll tell you what, if I remember, I'll take a vid for you with the speedo passing 85. Sound good?

I must agree. I'd bet my Jeep that you can't chirp tires shifting into 3rd at 80mph in any OEM 4.0 Jeep Cherokee ever manufactured. In 4 hi, right.
What different does the rear axle make?

That wasnt me making guesses. Thats what you said. Then you changed your mind about it. And they only made a like a million jeeps a piece with each of those axles.. your right, im so wrong And once again, what the hell does the axle have to do with chirping tires at 80?

Cherokee's were pursuit rated for police work (early 90's to 2001). In fact the first and only 4wd vehicle till the new AWD Fords this year. They did really well on the test track and are very stable if not lifted and modified for off road use. (Most police agencies had put taller tires on them however making them no longer certified, or as stable.)
Ive been 100+ in mine on the lake but have built it for that. No lift, tubular control arms, 235/65/16 wheels, Monroe shocks (Police/Tow option). Handles like its on rails. I do many miles a month on logging roads for my job. It makes the drive into the "sites" fun. Oh yes- disk brake mods all around as I didn't like the original stopping distances.
Just finished some engine mods including Pacesetter header, (modified to miss the front u-joint) oversized cat and Rusty's exhaust system. Im excited to take it back to the dry lake this spring and see if I can hit 120. ( I doubt it but will be fun to try)
Im lusting after a GM 6.2 LS swap right now.
Just don't agree with the "blanket" statement.

Haha never changed my mind. Launch in 4, shift to 2. Your argument is dumb, trying to be a Internet cool guy, it's good not mad at ya! Either way, my speedo will go to M, and on stock tires I chirp in 3rd. Spin in second, no traction in first. Launch in 4 hi, you will chirp, then you take the eff off. Good times.
