this is pretty minor as repairs go, but I welcome any advice. One of my 1999 XJ's headlight brackets has 2 stripped out/ sheared off screw guide holes.
I'd rather fix it than drive 2.5 hours to the nearest salvage yard to get another one and paint it green. Any thoughts on the best way to repair and attach the piece?
I'm definitely not a "professional", but maybe build it up layer by layer with JB Weld and then drill that built up area out as needed? Just a suggestion.

I have fixed them as spudzy has suggested, only using plastic epoxy. Six of one........ but it has held well for 4 years and have removed it to many times to count.
Thanks Phydeaux33. I did not realize these pieces (bezels?) are widely available online. I found one for $18 that I will spray paint green when I get it. If it's poor quality I will try the JB Weld route with the original. CH
