don't follow the mindless sheep, you're better than that. I haven't used them but treadwrights have a very very good record for being safe and not flying apart. Tractor Trailers use retreads all the time too, if its safe enough for them its safe enough for me :P

that was my thought too. Money (or the lack of) stopped me anyway. lol.

For me to afford even those I have to order 1 at a time rofl. Maybe 2 If all my bills are normal.

I like that it has the crushed walnut shells and glass in there kinda cool IMO it creates more gripping area as it wears instead of just wearing down.

The shells are just on the very outer skin of the tire. They fall off and leave little dimples all over the tread surface.

From my understanding of kedge grip all of the tread rubber used has crushed walnut shells mixed into the batch along with crushed glass. the walnut shells come off leaving a dimpled surface and as it wears down the process repeats, the glass stays in the tire and gives it little "Claws" or sharp grabbing edges. overall I think its a brilliant idea

Ok maybe I havent worn mine down enough to get to the other layers yet. But like I said I didnt order my tires with this they just showed up that way and I figured what the hell its a free upgrade.
