Default XJ D30 front...in a JK?

I have the front axle out of my parts XJ. Its a HPD30.

Will that bolt under a JK?

I know their steering is different, and maybe a few other things....

A guy is offering to buy mine, but I would like to know if it would work.

We've already established that the knuckles off the original JK axle are going to be used on the XJ axle, so 'custom' work is already needed. Wheel spacers or rims with different backspacing will be OK, especially since bolt pattern is different betweek JK and XJ.

Unless I measured wrong they are damn close in width, tho.

And the guy is giving me $300.

I can ise that for my trans and maybe make it to 'real' wheeling...

Different width and the brackets for the 4 link are different as well. Can be done but it's not a bolt in. It'll require some cutting and welding.

im wondering why the guy would spend 300 on a XJ axle and have to spend even more money to mod it to fit a JK, gearing and bracketry. not to mention his abs/esp light will constantly be on without the abs sensors. he should have just found a used JK for how much hes about to spend. good sell on your end i guess.

You should be a used car salesman. Sold an axle for 3x what they usually go for for a vehicle it won't fit.

According to the owner of the truck he cannot find anything in the area for a good price.

With my buddy doing the work from his shop on my axle he is actually saving himself $600, and that is what he said.

The owner of the (already totalled and salvaged, btw) JK Wrangler is paying my shop owning buddy $600 less to do what needs to be done than he has dound elsewhere. I'm getting offered $300 to get rid of my only spare, and I'm ok with that.

Its an opportunity that fell in my lap, like alot of things in my life, and I'm not gonna turn it down.

I sell handguns, assault rifles, body armor, squad equipment, and any other misc police gear you can think of...for a living.

Think of all those cops everyone calls ********, crooks, mean people, whatever....and then imagine having to sell them stuff.

"Whats MY price?"

"I'm a cop, I should get the 'good guy' price!"

Well, the sale fell through.

I felt bad knowing the thing didn't fit, so I made the mechanic guy remeasure in front of his customer.

He decided to look elsewhere.

Oh well, I still have my spare parts.
