Why do I prefer the XJ over the other Cherokee Models. Well, primarily because I don't like the Grand Cherokee. There's only 2 Cherokee models...

Well I'm speaking more along year modes not realy grouping like xj and zj and the wj why do people prefer the xj to those other when what I've been finding is that they cost pretty much the same price range for different conditions the only price difference seems to be the aftermarket

The Cherokee is simply the best combination of components ever put in a modern Jeep. 4.0, AX-15 or AW4, C8.25 Rear and D30 Front, all the things that made Wranglers good except with more room and a much better price point.

Insurance is cheaper on a Cherokee too! I have a friend with a wrongler (4 banger 5 speed base model) paying almost double what i pay on my 4.0 XJ. And He's the same age and has been driving longer.

Ya they screw ya on Wranglers. Mine still costs alot to insure and im almost 30. My agent says its because they consider it a novelty vehicle, and its 4x4, and convertible. All the worst things you can have.
