then we'll settle it like my grandpa used to do between me and my brother whenever we visited: get out the old boxing gloves, tie some rope around a couple hitch posts in his back yard, and let us fight it out! that'll show who's better than who! lol

I know that I have posted some topics on here that probably could have been found by doing a search, but in my opinion, I like having a answer that pertains to my question specifically, instead of a generalization. And I'm more than happy to help anyone out with a question that they may have, if I have the knowledge/experience to do so. This is still the best cherokee forum out there.
I started this thread to help defend the "newbies"!
If you would of read though ALL of the posts, you may of got a better feel of where i intended this thread to go.
This was my post on the 3rd page...
As the OP, i wasn't trying to point fingers at anybody.
Yes, John your post did "set me off" just a bit. And yes, i think my post was ruder. For that i apologize to you ALL!!!
The thing that's been really been ticking me off lately is the the general treatment of the Newbies.
I really don't think that i can add anything else to this thread that hasn't already been said.
Many, many thanks to all that posted!!!
BTW- Just for the record, 99% of my posts will still end with...
Hope this helps!

So there!!!
Sitting at a computer instead of being able to actually talk to someone face to face is going to create communication problems. Always has, always will.
You can't read mannerisms, tone of voice, facial expressions, or body language. These are all as important to communicating with someone as the actual words being spoken.
Sadly what a person types (myself included) may be intended as a simple unambiguous response can be perceived by the reader as a harsh innuendo or a blatant rant in opposition to ones beliefs or opinions.
It's the INTERNET people, take it on faith that no matter how you phrase a comment, reply, or suggestion....someone, somewhere is going to be offended.

To backup FrankZ's statement, had I just gone with my first line, you would have no idea I was laughing as I typed it in and that is was in fact a joke.

just my.02 on the whole search thing and the newer guys ( like myself) asking again. i have used the search a bunch of times and i will say 7/10 times i can find EXACTLY what im looking for, sometimes i find half the answer and sometimes i find nothing at all. yea it takes some searching, but its worth it. sometimes its important to ask about certain things, like i wouldnt take a write up about door removal from like 2 years ago haha, someone always finds a better or easier way to do it. besides that ill ask dumb/repetitive questions if im in a rush.
