and that red one was just a 4 door jk with aftermarket panels.
i prefer the Brute conversion with a real box. but most people won't want to cut up their jeep and weld the panels on to close up the cab. but at least it has a real box.
those panel kits just don't do it for me having a solid tub/bed with extended hardtop...

Thanks Captain Obvious.>.
lol
Yes, that's correct, but you'd be surprised how tuff welded in panels and spray in bed liner can be.
I previously owned a J-10 short box and LOVED that truck. Wish they'd bring back that retro design, but I understand they've got to follow the money, and that's unfortunately in the JK series. (which is pretty big from what "Jeeps" used to be)

yeah, well, ummm, maybe some cherokee guys don't know much about the wranglers. :toungefart:P
now if they did a 2 door version with a separate box, i may like it. but this 4 door pickup craze is getting boring.
i like the few brand new regular cab short box trucks that i see every once in a while.

GM models are the only NEW single cab short beds I've seen in a full size truck.
Personally, I think they should ditch the idea. Hummer H3T already tried and failed , Jeep will do better just because of the aftermarket scene trying to put their spin on it, but I don't see lasting long. Just make a damn midsize truck, but leave the whole JK Frankenstein thing alone. just my. 02

The market for it is tough but there,Only midsize american truck left is the colorado,The ranger has been gone so has the dakota but both have been said to come back soon. And price a brand new full size pickup today,Unless its a work trim truck your looking 40k up for a 1/2 ton truck.Krakker you forgot the explorer sport trac also but it probably sold better then the h3 truck thing.

Plenty of bastard truckish "things" out there tho. Subaru Baja, Honda Ridge line, Avalanche, (kinda liked it tho).
I do like the new Toyota and the Nissan as far as looks and size go, I just wish you could get a decent V8 in one.
Out of 5 new Colorado's at my work, everyone is a 4dr. lol. 2 are already *****ing about the mileage being that of a fullsize but not being able to haul or tow their boat as good. I say, "D times 3 is,,,,,,, DDD" (Carlos Mencia phrase)
I like the Avalanche it has it uses and does what its designed to.The rest of them like the ridge line i do laugh at sometimes. The Colorado does have some sad mileage to it,The diesel 4x4 one gets 20 city 29 highway i have seen 1 ton 4x4 diesels with a stick get close to that with tuning and driving habits.Honestly if i was in the market for something new i would get a few years old used ford super duty.I'm a ford guy when it comes to trucks and a f150 used is almost the price of a super duty i rather spend a lil more and get a diesel.
