Default Wrangler front axle

Alright, so i drove 150mi to score this xj front axle that the guy at the jy swore had 4:10's in it, of course when i got there it had 3:55's. Damn you jy counterman! Anyways to make up for his mistake and console my broken heart, he offered to give me the front axle assy out of a 00 wrangler with a bent tube that had 4:10's in it. I agreed and one of the yard monkeys took me out and showed me the donor vehicle. The axle was straight, and it indeed had 4:10's in it. Here's where it gets good, the axle had a/m uca's and lca's, lift coils, nitro shocks, and an hd stabilizer. Of course i snagged everything i could and hit the road before they could change their minds! My thought is to swap out gears into my xj and sell this built wrangler axle to some one else, i know the wrangler axles go for quite a bit more than the cherokee axles do, but im not sure what i should ask for it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks

You sure they go for more?

My wifes 98 TJ has a low pinion front axle. I would rather have it be a high pinion out of a Cherokee.

Is it a D30? Unless its a Wrangler 44 it wont be worth more.

Unless you have a 00-01 XJ you can't swap those gears.

I have an 01 so im sure they will fit. All the jy's around here want upwards of 1200.00 for a wrangler front end, thats why I thought they were worth more. does anybody have anymore info on this?

It's the exact same axle you have if you have a 01. Not sure why they'd go for so much. They are $100 all day long here and hp XJ versions are a bit more, usually around $150. In the original post you say it's a built axle, what exactly do you mean by that?
BTW if it's not bent just swap the whole axle, much easier than setting up the ring and pinion but if you do swap just the gears I'd replace bearings while you have it apart, at least the pinion bearings.
