Exclamation Worth fixing up my 2000 GrandCherokee Loredo?

Is a V8. 4.7
168,000 miles. Engine runs and sounds fine.
Has some body damage and little rust.
Was going to put new wheels, exhaust, body work. Do you think it's a smart ideal or a bad ideal with as many miles as it has?

Thank you

168k miles is not that much anymore. How bad is the rust and body damaged?

Take care of the rust first.

The Jeep has just a little rust. It sat for over a year. Someone hit my car in the parking lot. On the passenger side. It's rusted a little where the damage was done. Otherwise it's Black, black wheels, black leather, moon roof. The engine runs clean and has great acceleration. Just not sure if it's worth dumping like 6,000.. What do you think?

Why would you need to put 6k into it?

If you tell us your plans for the jeep we can help you find the right parts you need or stuff cheaper then another brand.

Grand Cherokees are very good off road right out of the box. They will out wheel any SUV that Ford or GM has to offer. Just because it's not an XJ means it's a piece of junk.

I was talking within the same class. A new Tahoe still won't go as far off road as a ZJ, XJ, or WJ can. The old Ram Chargers, Broncos, Blazers, and Scouts did very well because they were still trucks. All of the modern stuff has been pussified with IFS and cup holders.
