What is the question? If you got it for nothing it is a least worth that much.

I would definitely fix it. If you don't like it after that just sell or trade it towards something you do.

You have the option to just sell it and buy another vehicle that's already running and driving. Im sure you'd have no problem finding a buyer.

Part it out if you have the time then buy one thats running with no/small problems. I bought a 1992 for $100 and by the time I sold everything I had made well over $500 plus the $100 I spent...Tj

Glad you decided to keep it, It looked like it was in awsome condition, and if you have any questions about your jeep post in the tech or cherokee chat section. Also there may be someone who went through the same problem your having and may have already fixed it so use the search bar to find any solutions. Oh and Welcome to Cherokee Forum

Maybe depending on what all it needs and if you do it yourself.

Ok.. first you said its been sitting a long time... You said it runs if you pour gas in.. so here is what i would do...I would drop the gas tank.. empty it.. and wash it out..get all the old gas out... look at fuel pump ? Im going to guess that about 80 bucks you can get a aftermarket direct replacement from autozone or something... blow out all the fuel lines.. new filter... put in some new fresh HIGH TEST.... and give it a try.. it should run...and go from there...

I haven't owned my two jeeps long. But I love them. There's an endless list of paths to take with your jeep. Im sure you will love it though.
