I recently received a 98 Cherokee sport for getting my license. It's auto, has 4x4 and 4 doors. It has 94,000 miles on it and I believe it had 1 owner who took VERY good care of the vehicle. It was purchased for $4,995. And, as you can hopefully tell by the picture, it is in insanely great shape. But was it worth the money?
Body has absolutely no rust

Engine compartment is very clean, with little rust.

Thanks! great to hear it was a good price. I was planning on putting a 2 or 3 inch lift on and maybe some 31" General Grabbers or something

Just did some research and all i can say is I don't know if it has abs or not, i read somewhere that if you have a Chrylser 8.25 axle you can't have abs.

Just checked my rear axle and i believe it was a Chrysler 8.25. It's kinda hard to tell in the dark using only your cell phone screen for a light. It was either a Dana 35c or an 8.25. But I'm 80% sure it was a chrysler 8.25. I'll check again in the morning when i can actually see.

I'm not going to do anything serious to it, I'm just embarrassed to drive a stock XJ around my somewhat redneck community. i only want the lift to make it look a bit nicer and for when i go hunting and fishing, i'll need the lift for the streams, small rocky roads, and tiny mud holes that i will encounter on the way. And if I'm gonna put a lift on then naturally you need somewhat bigger tires on it also

I know the diff cases are differently styled so i'll check that, if not i'll take it in my neighbors dirt lot and see if I have a posi trac.
