Found a 99 xj 4x4. super clean no dents, dirty carpet.m but that's it. Bo mechanical issues, no leaks, new rad hoses heater core hoses, tires, stock suspension. 200k miles. 4dr dark forest green....2500 bucks..what do you guys think?

Im wondering if id be better buying it and selling mine then rebuilding it..or transfer my lift pieces over and sell my xj with stock suspension. Not sure who would be interested in an 88xj with 230k olive paint etc..what do you think? Sell my xj (need opinions on what its worth). Ir transfer the parts? Or try and up keep my xj

 

Buy it, sell your xj and use the money from yours to build the newer one

Ok. 88 xj 232k dana 30 dana 44 3.55 open. Rc 4.t coils leafs shocks, rustys arms, rustys hd trac bar, cb radio, clean interior, r134a air conversion, hellas 500s, surco safari rack. Bad brake booster (may fix) 31 bfg km2s full new spare)

 

Also found a 98 with bfg a;ts pretty clean 195k falling headliner clean interior, mechanically sound other than a leaking drum...which I plan on putting my 44 under it

How much for the 98? I paid 2900 for my 99 w/ 170k, 2500 seems like a decent price

 

The 98 has some issues. It has 195k a brake issue no a/c. Interior is clean though and body is straight. Tinted windows and some bfg a/ts. Talked that guy down to 1600

 

The 98 has a problem with the A/C, and bad brakes, guy thinks its a rear drum leaking, I could always put my d44 under it before I sold my 88.

 

Thats a little steep imo I would just do a complete swap and then sell your old xj as a stocker. Wont get much but your new xj will already be built and you can have some extra cash in your pocket.

 

What do you think the 88 would be worth as a stocker? Its gonna look weird cause it has the olive paint job.
