you would be better off getting an angle grinder instead
and buy a cut off wheel for it it will cost about the same and work much better. then use the auto zone trim and your good to go

A cut off wheel would work better without the possibility of warping the sheet metal because of a blade getting hung up.

XJ fenders are very similar to a beer can so I agree with everyone else, cut-off wheel. I used one when I put my Bushwhackers on, worked a lot better than the sawz-all we were going to use.
