Winch out of the unibody
Ive seen someone on here put a winch on their frame with lots of brackets and my buddy did it with a homemade crossmember that replaced he front one. So i know it can be done but i was thinking about putting one to the frame then putting a flairend out of the stock bumper. (A few cherokees had the bumper option) The winch would be hidden though so id have to cut a latch into the bumper in order to reach the winch to use it.
My question is has anyone seen something for sale that i can but that allows me to mount the winch to the frame or will i have to get some custom made brackes and crossmember?

Jeep did offer extended front bumper, with a winch behind it. You'll find the parts listed on this site. Jeep-Mopar OEM parts catalogs, Look up your year, there in PDF format. So you can down load it. http://www.xjjeeps.com/tech_referenc...section=2&ID=0
