Okay so I've googled and found a few references but very few pictures.
I'm wanting to get a winch but I don't care for any of the winch bumpers, plus they are pricey.

In the early years you could get a factory mounted winch, althoughit was a cheap 6k pound. It mounted behind the factory bumper. I know it moved the front bumper out a few inches.
That is where my information died, I can't find pictures of it now.

I'm thinking that a winch mounting plate that sets the winch as close the center of the bumper, and back as close to the radiator as possible should be easy enough to fab up.

Anyone else considered of built something similar?

Don't tell me DetourUSA that is an over priced piece of hardware he sells I can get a full metal winch bumper for that price.

 

I'm running 2" receivers front and rear that way I can move it back and forth.
