I think that Cherokee's are pretty fast for a 4wd. Pretty crazy really. I can beat alot of my friends cars easily.

Most other small suv's around don't come close.

 

They're really not that fast, it's just everyone around you is slow.

 

Yea you are looking at a light weight vehicle with a peppy engine.

 

yup, very light suv with a large i6 with torque that starts low is going to be quicker then normal. the lower you start your torque will mean faster power

Well they arent slow but they certainly arent that fast. I know my moms chevy suburban would kill my cherokee in a race.

 

My old 4x4 xterra would wax my cherokee.

 

I would say far from fast but quick until about 40mph, after 40 its worthless. I would say its quick because of the high amount of torque for such a little vehicle.

My old 95 jetta 12v VR6 would rape my jeep! Especially after 70mph.

but if you stay in it, the cherokee is faster on top. my old yukon had a governor on it that shut it down at 94MPH the XJ will easily exceed 100+mph

 

Well mine wont... The door wants to fly open at 85 I can only imagine what would happen at 100+

 

Ive had mine at ~110 going downhill on the highway with ~1/4 throttle left.
The renix is slow off the lights though.
