My 31's rub at full lock and when i go down gravel roads or go over speed bumps and i dont have any lift. Do i need to trim or get spacers? I also need a muffler bearing, where can i get one?

Just picked up my first jeep cherokee xj. 1998 classic, 95k, automatic, 8.25 rear end, all stock except for a 2" lift, spacer up front and full leaf pack in the rear (not sure the brand, i've been unable to find anyone offering 2" leaf packs) I'm wanting to go up to a 3.5 or 4.5 inch lift. I am wondering how I can achieve this with as low expense ($$) as possible, but still have a good lift that will be reliable. Right now my biggest question is how to address the rear leaf pack? should i just add a block to it? or just ditch it and go with a new one all together? I'm kind of leaning towards rusty's 3" kit, but the rough country stuff is appealing for price also. All of your inputs are greatly appreciated. THANKS!

quit being a search ****, search ****'s are more annoying then the "stupid" people asking the "stupid" questions.

Wow was that my first post? I've learned alot since then thanks to the patience and generosity of members such as yourself. I've figured out how to search and find most of the information I need to enhance my xj experience without asking dumb questions like I did before. We all start somewhere.

Wow, that's exactly what I was about to say. Why not just make it a database instead of a forum? Well, because its a FORUM because it's made to DISCUSS things. We are all family here and the "search *****" are the grouchy uncles. And its funny, he made a thread about people not searching when there's already been a few of these.. Did he not search for them??? >:0

I think the search function serves a good purpose but also in manny cases in can be benefical to the person in need of help to start a new thread..

It's not the worse I've seen.. Im on another site that doesn't encourage using the search function and the mods will flame you if you tell someone to try the search function

I think not. Again they want the answers handed to them instead of actually searching for and gaining valuable information
and he hasnt even been here for a whole month. hahaha

I think you need to talk less and read more.
REALLY??? You haven't even been on this site a month and you already chest thumping. Your post won't get any traction here, there's a 100 offroad sites on the net full of ego maniacs and xj owners that's bored. We like are's just like it is. I bet if I do a post search on you I'll see you haven't contributed to the site at all, just here to troll around and start ****.
