I just bought a set off a 2009. Do you have a close up and also what procedure did you follow? I've done the aluminum ones before but I figured the alloy ones would be alittle different.

I bought mine painted already. Ill tell you one thing. I did buy a new moab rim and a 33" bfg as a spare and painted it. Its super hard to not get it to run for some reason. I say use a lite grit sand paper, and then do REALLY lite coats until its even.

Really light coats of primer and paint? I'am assuming etching primer? Thats what I used on the aluminum rims

Add another for the Canyons... these came off an 05 TJ (think that's the right model).

Has anyone running the canyons had to use longer studs I put them on today and it looked great then one of them decided it wanted to check out the ditch. Now I've ordered studs for a 03 rubi as they are longer. While I was taking studs out u also discovered my brakes and calipers were shot :banghead: so I'm replacing them also now. Lol oh the joys of buying a new xj finding all the little quirks about it

I didn't need new studs in the front, there was plenty of thread engagement there. But I did have to add new studs to the back when I did the disc conversion.
