Who or what inspired you to build your first Jeep?
for me it was a man called GO Jeep, and another man called MAD XJ... after reading their pages I was knew I wanted to build my Jeep
also I needed an excuse to get a decent welder...
what about you? Who or what did it for you?

I always wanted something for mudding and ended up with a Jeep after my Blazer broke down. After high-school I started working with 2 guys that were big into wheeling their Jeeps and decided I wanted to do the same. I have a long ways to go since I took a break when I started a family, a 4 year break at that, but I'll get there one day.
My father bought an XJ when I was 6 and has had it ever since and now I own it along with my XJ. His is my new DD. Here are a few pics of them together. If it weren't for his XJ I would be drivings a riced out CRX.

Well, I went to work at a local Jeep dealer as my first job when I was still in High School, and a mint condition 90 XJ Laredo got traded in in my price range. The rest is a long story, but thats where it all started. The second I drove that Cherokee for the first time, I was hooked. 9 years and 6 Jeeps later, here I am.

My dad bought me a 87 Jeep Cherokee in 1993 when I was 17, handed me the keys and said "you owe me three thousand dollars, plus a hundred bucks a month for insurance......GET A J.O.B" That was how I started.
I think it's funny how some of the stuff people think is the new big thing.....some of us were doing ten years ago.

when I was 14 I bought a 400 dollar xj with a 4.5" re locked dana 44's and 33's. it ran well but couldn't pass inspection. I bought as yard rig/maybe fix it some day/ maybe sell it for 600 and make 200$. i couldn't get the damn thing stuck. it was just sitting in the front yard cuzz I had dragged a deer out with it when a guy stopped by and said hey, I'll give you 800$ for that there xj. so I made twice what I payed. 2 years later I got my liscence and my dad was like, I'll help you get a vehicle as long as I get the money back sometime. so i started thinking about my 88 xj and decided I wanted to buy a nice xj and lift it and nothing was Gunna get in my way! now I'm almost 18 and I'm looking for another one. I'll then sell my current 96 and give 2600 of whatever I get to my dad and then I'll build my

It all started for me when I was 7 when my dad bought an 81 wagoneer with the 360. I was in love with that thing, we took it everywhere and we could never get it stuck, if he had never got rid of it I would have gotten it. My uncle and aunt had a few xjs as I was growing up and I always liked them but never thought I would get one because I was more into the classics at the time, then I went offroading with my uncle in my aunts 90 pioneer and he let me drive it, thats when I caught xj fever. My aunt passed away at the end of my senior year and when I graduated high school my uncle gave me her 90 pioneer, he said it was going to be there graduation present for me. 4 years and around 40,000 miles later I still driving it and never getting rid of it.
