Just wanted to share the events of the last couple days.

A while back I bought a set of axles (D30 and an 8.25/29 spline) from a fellow Jeeper here on the forums. Weather finally got warm enough to start twisting some wrenches.

All of the following was thanks to my buddy Mike the mechanic who helped me (really me helping him) work the front axle which was laying on the ground just waiting.

First we cracked the diff open and pulled the old hubs and axle shafts. Then we pulled the carrier and installed the Aussie locker. Next was a set of axle seals and new axle u-joints. Then came a set of new Timkin bearings and a set of UCA bushings.

Today Mike came over and we dropped the old front axle out, installed the rebuilt one and topped things off with an Iron Rock adjustable track bar.

It's been a good couple days :-)
