FYI There is another thread like this if you search there are more pics. And I have my cb mounted on the pass side of the console by the shifter don't have pics now but will later. I am running a Unidon Pro 520 XL which is also a compact cb, just got it but from what I'e heard it is real good.

Currently jammed between the passenger seat and the tunnel
I'm tempted to get one of the really small ones and attach it there properly.

yeah it can be a pita when im using the voice lock and changing the channel but with it being so big my options for mounting were very limited.
as far as a passenger? well its my DD and the wife has a H3. so whenever im off we ususally take her hummer. my B-inlaw is a big guy and his knees are no where near it. so 95% of the time im by myself.

Cobra 19 in the ZJ, works under dash and left of passenger side, in the XJ a 29LTD on side of console, passenger side, still leg room and I angled so it isn't a pita from the driver seat. Aux speaker on dash center. Antenna mound reenforced inside the rear door, and ground wire attachment, for the Wilson antenna, added a spring wobbler, and charity tennis ball deadends the whip back.
