Some people here might disagree with me, but that bar isn't really armor. It's prolly 2.5" aluminum tube with .25" alum plates. It's mounted to the stock bumper & we all know how strong that is. It doesn't seem to have much structural integrity & I doubt it can "stop" anything. Then like someone said before, it's a "damage multiplier", especially since the stock bumper is holding it, in a collision the bumper will collapse & that bar will slice your radiator unto 3 neat chunks. You're better off going with a full bumper that has a beefy hoop.
I don't mean to be preachy or anything, but if you're looking for beef, that's not it.
If you're only going for looks, then have at it!
That red on red is sexy tho!

Smittybuilt is where i got mine- They are all steel, not aluminum. They are brush guards and you could order the wrap a rounds to protect your head lights and turn signals. I tore my guards off while wheeling, which is OK by me since i didn't like them much after installing them! They mount to the bumper only and as such don't take much abuse....
I built brackets to attach it to the frame for more support.

Looks home-made to me, They used to make a lot of these type of push bars back in the ninety's but they aren't very popular any more but just about any welding shop could do some measurements and fabricate a nearly identical push bar. Make one end out of cardboard, thats all they need to make two identical ends and tell them how wide to make it and the tube diameter. Chevokeeman

klbsa I know a welder who made one of those for his pickup truck. Lives by English Creek. He's the one who had made the ugly bull bar for me a few years ago. Prolly get it cheaper in a store tho ...
