Smile Where can i get lockable nets for my doors?

I am taking off my doors this summer for sure but when i go to work in the city i dont want people taking my CB and all my emergency stuff. So here is my question. Does anybody make nets to put up for my doors that i can lock while i am at work? Or do i have to throw my doors on every time i go into work? I get that i can just take my doors off when i go off road and junk and throw em back on when i get home but i think the nets is a better alternative.

What kind of a net could possibly be used to keep anyone out of your Jeep?????? NONE!

I even considered cable enclosed in a rubber coating but no way to keep it together. I guess you could use small interwoven wire in the door and then hook that to a 12v Electric Fencer Unit. One with the brush burner feature to make it really hot, they will not touch it twice

But in the end your best bet is to leave the doors on and lock them if you have to be in places where you feel things might be stolen.

I understand that no net is gonna keep people out if they REALLY wanna get in. But i live in a low crime rate area and i can see my jeep from the spot i work so its low risk. just as long as it looks like people cant get in and i can hook a padlock to.

I think its actually a good idea, If you could get the netting to zip up and ad a lock on the end it might work. Sure if someone wants something in the jeep they can just cut it, but if they really want something they could also just break a window. My suggestion would be to do the locking netting, and as a extra back up, lock valuables in the glove. But as far as a company to make a "bolt on" one, probably not. But im sure you can get some racecar netting, cut it to size and add some epic zippers to it.

I don't think there is such a thing as lockable nets. When I used to own a jk I would leave all the doors unlocked and the windows down. My theory is if someone wants to break in and steal something they will find a way. So rather than cut all my plastic windows open (which are expensive to replace) they can just reach in and open the door.

It's only low crime when the doors are locked. Give someone the opportunity and your junk will be gone.

Haha well i live in the middle of South Dakota. All farm land around here. like i said only time i would be worried is in town and i could always just throw my doors when i go into work. The net would mostly be used to keep critters out. i could always see if i can build my own nets though. if the nets are a success i might sell em if i get a good enough response.

If you want to remove your doors, and don't want the CB and emergency equipment stolen, setup the CB so you can remove it and the emergency equipment fast.
Then you don't have to worry about it.
