Help or not, being that it was done right is all that matters .

I don't know about my Jeep, seeing as how I just got it, and am waiting till I park my summer car so I can start driving the jeep through winter...

As for my car though... I picked up the car having ZERO experience about anything mechanical except for oil and tire changes. I swapped out my motor and re-wired the engine harness (90% by myself). Just took a TON of online research haha. Then one day (without EVER having driven a turbo'd car), I decided I wanted one So a couple months later I had it trailered down to Calgary, ready for the Dyno Built 100% myself except for the exhaust.

I'm planning on my jeep being the same. I just finished my first "metal works" mod. Built front frame tie-ins as well as a bumper with tow points.

Doing stuff yourself is way more fun than sending it to a shop or watching 5 buddies and you not helping. Plus in the end, you know that every bolt is tight, or at least that YOU are the one who didn't actually tighten every bolt

Kind of hard to do some things by yourself... Swapping axles, engines etc.

Help, but with things that I need a car lift. That's where my best friend comes in hand, and him being an actual mechanic doesn't hurt either

No help and ya, axle swaps suck by yourself. The only work done to my xj by someone other than me is the alignment and when i had lca mounts welded on. Its worn two different lifts, 3 different rear ends and had the front end out a few times. I think I know almost every bolt on my Jeep

I've had help from my pops. We work on both our rigs. Sometimes its nice just to have someone there bounce ideas off of, and talk things out. Also never hurts to have a extra hand when needed.

Another thing, I notice when I work by myself I'll end up talking to my dog. So if nothing else its nice to have an extra ear lol

Had help from friends doing a few things but if I can, I do it my self. Most help was people telling me what to do and then me doing it. Had a few times where I couldnt work on the jeep due to injury and had to have things done, but not looking to have that happen any more.

I had help from different clubs and members on all of my rigs through out this journey. And I have helped those in need on theirs. That's why I like the life!
