Default What's your MPG?

After installing a wrecking yard motor in my 93, I noticed about 16.25 mpg. This is assuming that the gas pump was calibrated correctly. The dept of ag sticker said last calibration was 06, so it could be off. (the pump at the gas station). I went roughly 260 miles on a full tank of gas. I probably could have made it to 300, but I consumed 16 gallons driving 260 miles. That sucks. It's a 2 door, 2WD with the AX-15 5 speed.

I'd like to year what kind of mileage ya'll are getting, and if your rig is 4X4 or not, and standard vs. auto.Thanks.

Just an FYI- all major tune-up parts have been replaced, minus the O2 sensor.

That's about average. I get less than that in town, but I'm geared to the moon!! I may touch that on the hwy on a good day, but doubt if it would happen often. HTH!!

i get 12mpg and i got 31's on it with a roof rack and my spare tire in it. is that about right or should i be getting more? i am pretty sure it is about the same as on the highway and city. i'm sure the tire on top isn't helping any.

I get 12-13L/100km.. whatever that is in MPG but with todays gas prices it works out to $10 a day for my 100km commute.

18mpg in the city with 235/75/15s and 3" of lift. Just did a complete tune up minus the o2 sensor not long ago, I can live with the mileage like this, can't wait to see what happens to it when I get 31s...

See if it will throw any codes... My 98 has awful gas mileage... Always throws either a O2 sensor (upstream) or a MAP sensor code. Usually both. I mean that thing eats O2 sensors more than brake pads...

I have a 4.0 (cold air intake and 2.5" exhaust), AW-4 overdrive automatic, 4WD, 4.56 axle gears and 32" tires. With 89 octane (midgrade) gas, I get 16 city and 22 highway. Those numbers are with me totally behaving myself. Any getting heavy on the right pedal causes it to drop off quickly in city or highway driving.

Based on how your rig is set up, you should be doing much better in the MPG department than you are.
