What's in your emergency kit?
My XJ has 141K on it, and it looks like my commute is about to get a lot longer (from 15 minutes up to an hour!). So, I'm looking for a little advice on what kind of tools, etc. to carry in the back. Any thoughts? She doesn't break down often, but I'm worried about the extra miles.

Break Down Kit:
1. 50/50 Coolant/Water jug
2. Spare serpentine belt
3. Full size spare, jack, tire iron etc.
4. Spare fuses
5. Spare upper/lower radiator hoses/hose clamps (if you're REALLY worried about it... replace them before they blow would be a better approach)
6. Basic hand tools/socket set
7. Jumper cables
You should be pretty well covered with most of that.
Emergency Kit:
1. Road flares
2. Blanket, warm clothes (I keep a blanket and an extra thick coat in the back during winter)
3. Bottled water
4. Tow/Jerk strap
5. First Aid Kit
Remember, it might not be YOUR emergency that this stuff comes in handy for.
