Default Whats it worth?

I am looking for some opinions from people who know. I now own a 1987 Jeep Cherokee Chief 4.0 4WD automatic with 136k miles on it. The vehicle has been in the family since purchased new and is stock. It has never been off road and has many new (stock) parts. Body and interior in good shape. Vehicle runs good with no major leaks or mechanical issues. I recently acquired the vehicle but I have a newer truck and have no room for it. Still undecided on what to do with it but if I decide to sell it I have no clue what to expect. Thanks in advance.

Post some pics of it, but I would guess you could ask about 2500 for it if it is as clean as you say.

I know plenty of people would give their left n*t to land a one-family XJ that clean! Down here in SA, that'd easily be a $4K ride. Of course, if it were me I'd sell the truck, lol. I'd put money on that Jeep still going strong long after your truck has worn itself out!

Damn that looks nice. Park it in the garage and leave the truck out in the rain.

Thanks guys. If I knew more about working on vehicles i'd love to keep it but beside basic maintenance and minor repairs I don't know much. Hearing a minor howling noise from the rear think may be rear differential. 4WD works great on beach though!

It looks nice but its still a 28 year old Jeep. It would go for $2k-$2500 around here.

The funny thing is its been making that noise for past 5 years. I tried putting it on a lift and running it (I work at a dealer) but the noise goes away. Only when weight on it. Its hard to hear the exact location but thinking transfer case or rear differential. Any luck in the used parts market for factory rear diffs?

Sell it for whatever you can get out of it & put the proceeds towards a C7, you'll never look back.

Its probably the pinion bearing. Mine has been howling for years, and I have replaced everything except the pinion bearing. Its a pretty standard noise on the XJ haha.
