I can honestly says I have never 'named' a vehicle.

Mine are known as The Big Jeep, The Red Jeep, The New Jeep, The POS Jeep and The MJ.

 

this is kinda what I do, though Ive been trying to come up with names for my cars for awhile.

the bmws are usually the *****es or the one thats half primed and sanded is the ugly one, i call the jeep beast sometimes cause its loud.

my roommates zj's name is sammy though

 

mine was named by the previous owner. it's name is Blue.

my tj is called "my tj"

the wifes tj is called "your tj"

my other xj is called the red jeep

and the ****** is just called the ******.

oh, and the van is just called, you guessed it, the van.

 

pinball cause it bounces off trees

 

Mine is called Dolly after big bosomed Dolly Parton! Love that woman!

 

mine was named Amber by my freind i bought it from lol. everyone else has tried calling it some other choice words though.

 

hankthetank. thats what my owner calls me. usually he calls me a "you better start and run you rusted out pile of ****"...

Lol.... I've never quite gotten the "naming" of one's vehicle. It just feels contrived.

Now, lots of guys I've wheeled with over the years have nicknamed their rigs, but usually it's more a description of the actual vehicle. I.e. - "the beater,"mall-crawler," "McNuts (due to the color scheme), etc.

Only women call their vehicle a name like it's a person, in my experience.

 

I call mine Meredith. I can't explain why, because I dunno why.

 

Mine is named Layla! In english it means, Blessed. I guess when you translate it doesnt sound as nice haha

 

the jeep is called Sno_Blynd. mainly because when i stumbled across it, it was in the snow and i literally walked into it because i was snow blind.
the truck is called the jakyl because ive got it black a purple like the bird the grackle
and my escort is known as betsy. named by my mom because it looks like a cow.
