Default What's the deal? Just curious

I've been lurking around on the forum for a while now. I have noticed there are alot of threads about all the bad stuff about owning cherokee's. I know most of this is tongue-in-cheek so to speak, but I've owned two cherokees and they served/serve as my hunting rig. I absolutely do not baby them but I don't go out and rag em either. Not that there's anything wrong with that but, but do alot of yall have mechanical problems with your cherokee's? Just curious.

No problems with mine, just replaced the radiator once and a new battery yesturday. Radiator was because someone hit my old one. Ill see if i cant find the pic of what mine looked like and was still running just fine.

Found it, lets see if it will show.

It's a XJ thing. Something breaks you scream at it and threaten to push it off a cliff then you make up and all is good.

Enthusiasts of anything will make fun of their stuff. high end computer enthusiasts make fun of their rigs having equivalent heat output to a furnace, XJ enthusiasts will make fun of all the weird squeaks/leaks/creaks their Jeep makes.

so none of us can claim ignorance to the needs of our vehicles and none can claim to be surprised when whatever breaks for whatever reason then we can fix it.

Well... Everything has it's share of troubles! I discovered a broken piston in mine three days after i got t. The great thing about this forum is havin help on hand. Someone out there has experienced what you are goin thru with your rig. So good help and advise is just a click away! As many Cherokees as were made, and as long as they hold up, every one of em is bound to need some wrench love now and then! It's also a great forum to showcase the fun and good times that can be had with XJ ownership!!

Also you gotta realise no one is going to post a thread saying their cherokee started up and drove to work just fine this morning, they would only post something if they had a problem so its usually only the problems you hear about.
