The hood doesnt mean anything. All Xj hoods look like that. No 3rd brake light so pre 94. Pretty sure all that chrome is 92 or 93 and older so 84-93 possibly

You can always check the emissions sticker on the drivers side door if it's still there. Mine's an 88' and has the same chrome, body, and stripes going down it so it's around 86-97

check the sticker on the door, what steering wheel does it have, and last but not least, open the hood to see what 6 cylinder it has.
i think you can also look on the tail light for a year of manufacturer.
my guess is 87 just judging by the striping on the hood... but i've been wrong before...
