What would you consider to be an "exploration" cherokee?

I would prolly scratch the tent idea delending on where I'm camping.
Its easy for a bear to rip through a tent. No as easy to get into the Jeep. And I can easily flip my seats backwards.

Don't keep food open in your tent? A RTT is amazing. My buddy is driving cross country in his TJ with a military trailer with an ARB RTT on it and hot damn it's comfy. Way nicer than sleeping on the ground or in the jeep.

a self sustaining vehicle...a Cherokee that can carry a good amount of water and gas. Food supply and over night gear. Can carry lots of spare parts and tires. Onboard air and welder. A Cherokee built for the trail but is for sure able to carry the daily driver term. A well protected under carriage. Filled with the latest technology. GPS navigation. Satellite phone. Wi-Fi hot spot with laptop. Maybe pulling a HD off-road trailer. And don't forget it's got to be water tight! Snorkels and exhaust breathers on driveline and tailpipe.
I think this is a good start.

I agree with all of Jajbob's suggestions but I do not agree with the Selectable rear locker, I would have a Selectable front and Rear

What about one of those little electric tire pumps. You plug into your power outlet... Was looking at some on flea bay a little while ago...
