just bought the new JCR offroad front winch bumper now looking to order a winch.

i was looking at the new smittybilt XRC 9.5K or the X20 10K. any other brands i should look at without spending double on a warn

I have a xrc8 comp on my XJ it's even a great winch for the past 2 years. Where my m8000 I had on my tj ate solenoids every couple months

tuff stuff 9500 has never let me down, best warranty and cheapest that i've found
replacement parts are also very cheap
make sure you get a winch plate regardless of which brand you buy and practice with it before you go out on the trail.

 

I went with the XRC 8, it's worked great for the last 2+ years. If I was to buy a winch today, I'd get synthetic rope for sure. As my XRC 8 has been good & hasn't let me down, it's slow and loud. I like Warns, and they are becoming more affordable, I bought a cheap winch for my Quad, now I gotta replace it and buy a new winch & it'll probably be a Warn....
