I run Eaton 15x8 32 bolts in the front and DIYs on Nomads, same width, in the rear. I would run all Eatons but I got a deal on the two and already had the DIYs.

Yes, allen head bolts. Protects them from getting damaged to an extent from rock rash. No need to look good. My XJ's best days are in the rearview mirror. But I might have to keep that in mind.

And thanks, I like the cage, too. It was a must after my first roll. Ironically, I was on my last run before parking for the winter to build a cage when I rolled it.

I was more wondering if the rust on those allens would be an issue for doing tire changes, looks are just an added bonus, LOL. And I think your rig knew what you were planning. It just decided to force you into it, LMAO

Ahh, well never had to do a tire change yet. Guess we'll see how it goes when I get to that point. Good thing for fullsize spares.

I thought I liked allen bolts till I ran them on my diff covers. Smack a few rocks and you get to use vise grips to get them out. I just run grade 8 bolts and nylon nuts on mine with some cheap washers and so far so good. Couple of the heads are messed up but I can still get a wrench on them. I retorque mine every other ride so I need to be able to get on them.

Guess I've been lucky so far. They have seen their fair share of rock rash with no damage to the allen head yet. I'll have to consider a change.
