Depends your budget and do you want to lift it higher or go long arm later on?

BDS and OME are at the top of the list. RC is probably the cheapest. (Price wise) Maybe give a little more info on what you want your rig for. IE mostly DD Hard core wheelin ect... It really does come down to what you can afford. Long arms can be added later to replace the short control arms.

The problem with these type of threads is that by page 2 it will be people bashing every kit.

Rough country is fine, their springs and shocks are known to where out fast, I run their long arms and they are awesome, but I use doetch tech shocks and rubicon express shocks, at the height you're going, I'd stick with a RE short arm kit.

Okay, what's OME and BDS? And the jeep is my DD and I take it on trails, but nothing crazy hardcore lol. So, it isn't going to be just for rock crawling really. And what's the difference between long arm and short arm, what do they do?

I say just get a cheaper kit. RC is fine for a daily that's light trail ran.
Most every kit will make the jeep ride like a pick up. But that is the nature of lifted trucks.

If you think you will go more hard core, then you may want to consider a custom set up.


I install a lot of lifts on trucks. Rough country is by far the number one seller. Probably the prices no doubt.

OME - Old Man Emu. BDS - Big Dicks Suspension. ("to go deep in the bush you need big dicks) LoL. Anyway a long arm is just that a longer control arm. Do some research. Read some reviews and get what you can afford.

A long arm kit will give you better articulation and a smoother ride. When adding a lift thw angle of the control arms can get ridiculous. A long arm kit will bring the angle back down to almost a stock angle.
