Well what kind of cherokee do you want, Or are more interested in.
They have the Laredo, Pioneer, and limited but they look the same, so idk the differnce. Any ways what year do you like the best. do you want 4x4 or 2wd, do you want the 4door or 2door, do you want stick, or auto? It all depends on what you want.

Ohhhhh I gotcha.
Well there not that much you should look out for.
I mean if you take care of the jeep, the jeep will take care of you.
The things you should look for is Electrical problems, Thats a biggie for some people.
Other then that, the motor doesnt give you problems unless you dont change your oil every now and then, when it comes to the tranny, thats nothing you should worrie about unless you go crazie with it, i mean thats pretty much it. I had my first jeep at age 14, and it had over 200k miles on it, i mean i couldent drive it till i turned 15 annd got my permit, but after that i had it for 3 years and never had one mechanical problem with it at all Plus i took it mudding and off roading like every month. i traded it for a motorcycle and never again will i ever do that with the one i own now,

Personally I believe that 97-99 are the best years to look for, 99 espically. Through those years they have the updated exterior and interior, they also have High Pinion axle's and the 99 has the most diserable intake manifold because it allows the best amount of flow into the head. Id personally recomend the 5-speed if you can drive one well because they are a blast to drive but the AW4 Auto is very reliable and can handle almost all the abuse you can throw at it. Try to find one with the towing pakage because they come with an Aux. transmission cooler and if you can find one with the Up-Country pakage, full skids, tow hooks and rear LSD. Basically any year 97-99 is the best in my opnions because of the options you can get. Id stay away from the 00-01 because they have Low Pinion axles and some have the very crappy 0331 Heads that almost always crack. Hope this helps.
