What Else Do You Reccomend I do?
Hello everyone! Jake here.
Okay, Long story short, I've currently got a 3" RC Lift with 31" BGF A/Ts. I've got a 2" BB Lift sitting in my garage, that I plan to add on to net a total of 5" My dad has graciously given me his 32"x11.5" BFG A/Ts. I want to do this the right way, since my vehicle is a rescue vehicle and needs to be completely reliable (Not that it isn't already)
Anyways, other than the Lift, and the Tuff Country 4.5" Lift Lower Control Arms I added on, everything else underneath is stock. I am on a budget and would just like to make it safe as cheaply as possible, (And I know sometimes you have to sacrifice cost for safety)
Anyways, I would like to add the 32s on now and remove flares + trim a little bit. This way, when I add the 2" back on, I will have room to clear a 33. I just dont know how much i will need to trim or if theres anything else I need to look out for. Thanks a lot! and I promise not to BUMP if no one replies right away! Haha.

At 5" I would recommend a SYE and CV drive-shaft. I would also recommend some LCA drop brackets and go back to stock length arms.

I would NOT recommend drop brackets unless you like scraping your control arms. While it may ride better, from what i've seen on other peoples they are like rock magnets, but the SYE and DS seem like a good idea, also at 5 inches you will need extended brake lines and perhaps longer shocks (dont know what you are running atm).
Otherwise you should probobly be set, but after that I would save up for a set of brand new tires in 33's or whatever size you were planning, having brand new quality tires makes a world of difference. Good luck.

Well its true, I was at an offroad park a few weeks ago and the one guy sheared his whole control arm mounting bracket off because the it was too close to the ground with the drop.

I know of a guy who has been wheeling a while the drop brackets w/o any issues. I have also read of more who haven't had any issues at all regarding clearance or anything else for that matter. Anything can happen and I have no doubts that it can, but it's unfair not to recommend anything based on a single observation.
