The engine is a legend, its stupid simple design that anyone can work on an reliable as a ballpeen hammer.
Better than the energizer bunny, I never nee to worry about if its coming home.

For me, it is the newest vehile I own. Mine is a '91 and it's still fairly simple to work on. The almost bulletproof 4.0 and AW-4 tranny. That is why they no longer make them, they last too long. The company wouldn't make any money if they still made them that good.

 

#1, it looks awesome. Secodary to that it's damn reliable and all it takes a newbie to work on it is determination.

What I like most is what I also hate the most. 300 or so HP = 12MPG on a good day downhill.

 

I like the fact that it is so easy to work on, aftermarket support is HUGE, this forum's support is amazing, it looks great, solid axles, and that it still purrs smooth as a kitten after I blew a freeze plug and drove 2 miles without coolant!
