You dont need a 4wd transmission. Just get a transfercase, front axle, and probably some custom driveshafts (wont be too much) because the 2wd trans is a bit longer than the 4wd one.

then sell it and get a 4x4 you'll spend an easy grand on parts to convert it. IMO do it right go to Novak conversions get a Dana 300 adapter then get your self a set of Dana 60 then call the Axle Exchange for a set of shafts

I locked my 2wd and its made a world of difference. Just get more agressive tires than most and just admit that steep hills arent for you. But other than that youll be good
