Without the new gears with just the SYE and the steering what were you getting MPG with the 6.5in and the 33s?

Not bad at all. With the stock gears can it still pull and stuff when your offroading? To get up and through the deep stuff?

stock gears on a built rig is like having a restrictor plate on a race car
i would run atleast 4.56 gears...i have a friend with 4.10's and 33's and he is always using low range on the trails.

do it right the first time and youll save yourself alot of hassle and money in the long run.

probably your best bet.

get your feet wet, see what its all about. a 3" lift and a locker will take you most anywhere

Should I order a kit with full new leaf springs or just add a leaf?

read around and do some research...theres people for both sides.

i run aal and its been on for over 2 years and it might have sagged half an inch, but i put a 1" block under my springs and it works fine. no wrap at all. some guys run extended shackles, i think they look funny tho.

you have to choose, theres plenty of info out there for both arguments.
i say save the money and get aal and use the saved money for something else, like an adj trac bar, extended bumpstops, or upgraded shocks.

SYE
gears (assuming you're running 35s or bigger)
extended brakelines
adjustable trackbar
Control arm drops/long arms (because it will ride like **** otherwise)

You can run 33s on a 4.5in lift and depending on how much you want to trim, a 3in lift or even a 2in lift.
With the 4.5 you can get away with a tcase drop usually and relocating your track bar and brakelines if you don't want to spend the money on adjustable track bar and extended lines.

If his leaves are already sagging an AAL is a bad idea and will require more money in the future.

So with running a 4.5in lift you need a adjustable track bar, and brakelines with any size tires or just the 33s or bigger?

extended brakelines regardless of tire size. you might be able to get away with brakeline relocation, im not real sure tho

You can get away with brakeline relocation on the 4.5 or shorter. And you can also get away with relocating your trackbar. But is it the "right" way? I'd say you'd be better off with the adjustable trackbar and brakelines.
