That's why I replaced mine. A couple of times I left it overnight after pulling the key out in the accessory position

Mine came with two round keys like the Jeep key, just no logo. I re-keyed the cylinder to the originals and will have copies made of the dealership key and keep that one as a master for later copies. The keys I've been using are pretty worn.

I didn't want to take up more space in my pocket with another fat plastic-handled key. If I want to feel nostalgic and use the two-key system I'll just drive my old Bronco.

I have this thing about keys. The keys I get (with a new to me car, or new place) I have copies made. I put the "originals" in the junk drawer. Thinking making a copy from a copy from a copy eventually gets you to a place where the key just won't work. Wish I had something older to drive. Always looking for that mid '70's to mid '80's Cutlass, Regal, Grand Prix, or Monte like the ones I used to own back then on Craigslist. Wish I held on to just one of them.

Indeed. I do that as well and would have done it with my XJ had I been the original owner. The keys for it were already well worn when I bought it used so there wasn't much point.

This is especially a good practice with newer cars that have chips in the keys. They usually require two programmed keys to program a new copy, so having three programmed keys around is crucial in case you lose a key. I don't want to pay the dealer $150 to program a new key!

Well I have sold about 10 of my RC cars so far. Still have 10 or so left that I am selling. But I figured since they are are older and hard to find parts for, I needed a newer up to date one to bash. So I got a HPI Savage flux (will be here on Friday). I had 2 other Savages in the past and they were indestructible so I hope this one is too. BTW - Axial is going out of business soon. I had the RR10 Bomber from them and didnt like it. The whole rock crawling rc thing isnt for me. I like to go fast and catch big air haha.
