replaced the hatch lift shocks, that thing is heavier than it looks... started working on the hundred or so little rust bubbles on the roof. ggrrrr. Time for some rust stop paint and duplicolor bedliner. I love days that start with "J" jeep day.

Drove her to Knoebels Amusement Park for my company's picnic. Yesterday I installed some driving lights from Wally World. I keep looking for the $10 hellas, but they are never there. So I got another pair from the discount rack for $10. They are on the smaller side, but when I get better ones for the front they will make great reverse lights.

Woke up at 9am when I had to work for 8 hours at 1pm... Drove my jeep 25 miles to a junkyard in Taylor, MI where I was told they had 5 cherokees.
Got there at 10am, spent an hour and a half total at the junk yard. Acquired the following...
1 Rear Bumper... (It took an hour to get it off, it's not exactly perfect but it looks alot better than my rusted out one) $20.00
1 Passenger side tail light (Small hole in the brake light part, but its not in 4 pieces taped together like mine was) $10
1 fender flare (This one is grey for some reason, it was off a dark blue 98 sport. Will be spray painting it to match the other fender flares in a sensual black satin) $5
2 Rear hatch shock/struts (Mine were devastated.) $5 a piece
Seeing 5 cherokees from 1996 to 2000 totaled is a devastating event

Had some extra fogs in the cabinet, doing no good in there, and wanted to use them for some time. Fabbed a 10ga stainless bracket and bolted onto front where the original 2 factory lights mount. Dual leads in 12ga wire splitting to each light, fed from fresh 30a relay and fused 30 amp 10ga to battery, each lamp pulls 5 amps, relay controlled from factory dash switch. Swapped the hardware for stainless, lights are actually cheap and I get the plastic housings so no rust issues, cheap to replace a broken lense, the roofs have been up almost 3yrs and still working. There are better quality lights available but I choose to flood em with volume. Angle all the fogs just a bit to the right. Pics of before during after, if I didn't flub the upload.

I had too
