Fixed my adjustable trac bar end. Broke while I was on a bumpy road today in town. Luckily I was able to pull into a parking spot at my work. The piece that the crown nut goes on snapped because it was faulty. Went to the local Napa store. They had 2 in stock so I said "give me one right now and a grease gun please" So about 15 minutes of work, got back on the road.
the one day I didnt have my tools with me, something breaks. Also had to reschedule my smog appointment, which was at 2 today but the end broke before that. So tomorrow gettin the XJ smogged.

I got it running again after it randomly decided to not start. I haven't had ANY OTHER problems with it starting in the past 10 months.
it rained really hard the other night and I had my first day of "real" work at my new job the next morning, go figure on my first day the Jeep wouldn't start, but would crank.
I diagnosed the problem and came up with no spark, but fuel and compression.
My coil is under warranty so I went to advanced and exchanged what I thought was a bad coil for a brand new one. Put it in and still no start. started to suspect the CPS, but before going through the hassle of replacing that I decided on a whim to check the coil ground to the block. The electrical connection was shoddy at best, so I sanded the mounting bracket to shiny metal, and viola it started. Took about 30 seconds of cranking to burn off the excess fuel in the cylinders though.
Moral of the story: Hood vents + heavy rain = no bueno for electronics. Time to find another hood, do lebaron vents and drip pans.

I installed my CB today.
I removed my radio and put the CB in its place.
Attachment 35753
I couldn't decide were I wanted the mike mounted
so I just hung it around the rear view mirror
Attachment 35754
Now I need to figure out a better way to run the
wire for my antenna.

Took out my old gears and hubs/axle shafts and carrier and rear pinion in my old axle, found that the bearings were completely shot then did the same with the axle I have now mounted underneath the jeep and swaped the gears, luckily the carrier with the 3.55's on it had good bearings so after everything was torqued down just put it back together. Just have to add diff. fluid and put my hubs and steering components back on and im good to go.
