LOL We are in SOCAL actually.
But up in the San Gabrielle Mountains at 6300FT.

5speed it is nice, but the county is so Ill prepared anymore for stuff like this. Back in 2011-12 Snow Year, we got about 2-3FT more than this time. At least then the county could handle it.
Now!
Well between stupid Cityidiots that have moved up here, and the county being broke it is an emergency.

It was hilarious watching the "GREENIES" that live across the street with their battery operated snow throwers trying to get through 5FT of snow in their driveways.

OH!
The same ones that said (wood burning to keep your home warm, was bad for the environment).
I saw they bought wood yesterday from a guy selling it in town from his pickup truck.

It snowed one day this Winter in London (I think it was a couple of weekends before Christmas) lingered for about a week - chaos!

What used to be known as Winter is now "adverse weather conditions", the perfect excuse to close schools, not even try to run trains, advise people not to travel (or even go out) unless really necessary - as though many of us don't have to get to work, come what may, & issue all sorts of colour coded warnings. Why does "yellow snow warning" always make me smirk?

Last week, i cut out a part of my shredded fan belt from around the fan, seen the waterpump pully is kinda wobbly. So i started it and some more grinding and started leaking a little.Sooo i moved her back to the outside of the driveway gate, where our dogs cant get to. Then i took the belt off. Now today, i took the battery out to put it on a trickle charge, Took off the fan shroud, and the electric fan. Now its 6pm and dinner time. I havnt ordered parts yet. Supposed to be crappy weather tomorrow again.

I've changed so many waterpumps on these things I've gotten it down to about an hour.

We are getting a lot of rain down here. Are you getting snow and/or ice? They are calling for 2-3" of rain which is a fairly typical rainfall for the Bloomington area.

You hit the bolts with an electric ratchet or air ratchet? That seems to shave off some time.

Guess that's another reason why fakebook will never be what the actual forum is, that kind of sucks as now that bit of useful info is lost, probably due to them trimming the fat to keep things running smoothly. That's a shame.

Sometime ago when I used to post parts for sale in the Craigslist thread I could give a link to the Marketplace that would work.
Somewhat recently it stopped being able to do that.
But I found that if posted the location, the exact title, and seller's name that if somebody were really interested in it they could find it with a search.

Had a couple of hours to spare, so ran to the only parts pull yard in the area as they had a 97 Cherokee that had just been put in the yard.

I pulled both side mirrors as they were in great shape! They are power and mine are manual, but will just trim the cords if I install them.
Pulled window trim out of one of the rear doors. The window trim/weatherstrip on this XJ looked great, btw.
Pulled both heater hoses, as they looked clean and I will be installing my HVAC box soon!
Pulled the distributor. The distributor I have has a lot of play in it but works. I tried one off of Amaz.. but it was clocked wrong and I wasn't wanting to spend a fortune when I installed this engine! Will try this one in the near future!
Picked up a couple of black "D" steel wheels, like those sold at Rough Country for $65 each ( I got these for $16 each) .
I keep this up and I will have 2 XJ's before I know it!
