most of those 12v led bulbs just have a resistor molded into the base.

At least the ones that would be used in vehicles.
At the moment from poking around on the internet and looking at the specs here I am thinking these:

The 3mm 3800K one.
Somebody said that the 3800K one would resemble stock lighting the best.

2 door
The spare tire cover I ordered from Covers and All arrived. Seems to fit well, will see more today or tomorrow.
Since it it a roof mount carrier, I asked them to add 6 grommets evenly spaced about 2" up from the elastic so I can use something (zip ties, a cable, etc) to keep it secured to the tire. They said OK and took my order, and my money.
One month later, they said they cannot put the grommets in, has to be just elastic. I asked what changed, they repeated their statement.
I said fine, just make it without grommets and I will figure out how to make it work.
They shipped it and their email said it was "out for delivery." I contacted them through their chat feature and asked for a tracking number. They gave me a link to the FedEx tracking, which said it was in India. I informed them that "out for delivery" never means the package is on another continent, at least in US English.
The FedEx page said someone was going to have to sign for it. So, when it got into town I asked my mother-in-law to listen for FedEx and sign. She waited close to the front door all day and never heard a thing.
It was on the front porch when I got home from work. I checked online and the "signature" was a misspelling of my name. BTW, FedEx couldn't care less if their drivers do this because they have no easy way for package recipients to report it.
When I got the package open, looked great, nice sturdy material, and the grommets were installed just like I was wanting.
Edit: Didn't get to mount the tire carrier the way I wanted, but got the cover on and secured with zip ties.

I think the next minor thing is removing every sticker that didn't come with the vehicle from the dealer. Razor and Goo Gone, being careful not to get any on the rubber.

Axle swap
So yesterday I almost finished getting my front axle in. Would have finished but a long time friend from out of state dropped in on us. So I'll have to sow things up this morning. The things left to do is are. To adjust the track bar about a half an inch, tighten up the control arms, put the front drive shaft back in and get another bottle of diff. fluid. This was one of the smoothest axle swap I have done to date. I can't wait to put it through the paces.

Mostly. Going to be taking the extra steel off soon. One powder coated rock guard rusted away substantially and I removed the remnants last year or so. The window vent guards are glued on so they can stay.

So I replaced the Champion Iridium plugs with regular Champion copper cores as per the manual. Just for sh*ts and giggles I looked up the torq specs on the plugs and got out my torq wrench. New plugs gapped to .035, torqued to 30ft/lbs.
My engine whine is 90% gone. I really can't believe it! Thanks again Audio for the suggestion.
Now I can enjoy my radio without hearing the gears shift through my speakers.
The front wheel hubs that Santa got my XJ should arrive *just* in time for me to replace them on Christmas day...fa la la la la, la la la la

Gave it the ol 10w30 Supertech & Filter, greased the front end, and a multi point look around for the next trip. No point in washing, Gatlinburg is gonna be wet and nasty as well.

Adjusted the track bar and did an alignment yesterday. So nice to have everything straight and centered finally.

Camshaft Position Sensor went erratic. Replaced that just now.
