I ordered some 24 lb. 12 hole injectors from shmebay. For $65 I figure what the hell, why not.
I am still looking for evidence of any leaking bolts from the oil pan/pump install, so far so good. I pressure washed the driveway so that I can be more certain in the next couple of weeks.
Thinking tomorrow I'll break out the new computer and see if it runs any better than the one that is in right now.

So I used some of that rust converter stuff, Duplicolor Rust Fix, and it did turn what little bit of rust left that was black yesterday.
Waited the 24 hours and painted it today. Just used some primer, black paint, and clear coat (no idea why I clear coated it)
that I had around.
Let it dry, then get the seat cleaned up best I can, and get my seat cover on it.
Maybe tomorrow.

AC Clutch fix
AC on my 2001 XJ would blow perfect for about 20 minutes and then quit. Got lazy and let the local vampires have at it. First shop said there was nothing wrong after having the car for 2 days. I had them balance a couple of tires to make them feel good. $20 charge. Went to a second shop and told them exactly what was going on (new clutch needed.) They called me back and said replacing the compressor/Evap would be cheaper at a cost of $1000+. Told them I did not have the time to here that explanation. Thanks to the XJ community a guy had a video up with a DIY repair to remove a shim from the clutch assembly to get the magnets to start working again. I ordered the lockout wrench on amazon and $11.43 later was ready to go. 1.5 hours and and a broken fan shroud. (Got impatient trying to wiggle it out behind the fan.) Total cost $33 and two burnt hands working on a hot engine. Thanks for the you tube help once again. With the cheap cost of parts I do not know why I would get rid of the Heep.

Yeah. I had a similar situation go down with my AC last summer. The guy kept trying to tell me that there was absolutely, positively NO WAY that I could get away with a new compressor, dryer/accumulator, and new lines...turns out he wanted the $1200 in labor to replace the evaporator, which would involve tearing apart the entire dash to the firewall.
I told him thanks for the advice, I'll do it myself, then went and replaced the above parts, bought a can of Red Devil A/C stop leak, followed with refrigerant, and it's been good ever since.
I have never returned to that mechanic. I will likely only go to him if I need an alignment or something else that is best done by computer.
Is there a leak in the evaporator? I'd bet there is. But it's not bad enough in my opinion to justify tearing her up in my driveway for a solid week while I get at the evaporator.

Found my exhaust leak(s) was expecting to find a cracked header (because Jeep) which is why i had already ordered up a new one. So i guess ill put the old header in the attic as a spare. I had put this gasket and header on about a year and a half ago.

So today I put the lower part of that back seat that I have been working on back together.
Cleaned it the best I could, put my seat cover back on, and put it back in the Jeep.
So the little plastic pieces on the legs come off pretty easy. You just pop out the plug with a door panel tool.
You do have to work the lever through the slot on the one side but not really a problem.
I thought it was cool how the plugs interlock to secure the plastic to the legs.
Oh if you ever do this don't play with the plugs and put them together by themselves.
They are a pain to get apart when you have nothing to pry against. LOL.

Yesterday I fixed the instrument cluster connection issue and wired in my on board air. Today I installed a 4" kit on a buddy's new gladiator.

As part of my "clone" build putting in all the options my Jeep did not come with one of my goals is to get the
Infinity Sound System in there. I picked up the 4 Infinity Speakers, I already had the tweeters in, sometime
ago cheap. But the fronts needed to be refoamed. So figured I would give it a shot.
I guess I did right cause they seem to work like they are supposed to. So when I picked up the spare
tire subwoofer cause it needed to be refoamed too figured I would try my hand at it again.
The kits for both of them were specific to the speakers which was nice.
The CoverKing seat cover is what makes all the difference. LOL.
Not cheap but I highly recommend them.

I took a good old "Sunday Drive" today. I just woke up and got to thinking that I spend all my time either driving it to work and back and/or tearing it apart and putting it back together in my driveway and I never actually get to enjoy it. But the new throttle body is netting me about 1.5 MPG better than the old one and it's not leaking oil, so I consider this a pretty good day.
Yesterday I realized that I needed some EV1 to EV6 adapters to make my new 12 hole injectors work, so they are on order and it's on the list for tomorrow. Also sending it to the tint guy tomorrow at 2PM. Although I'm not excited to shell out cash for this, I'm ok with paying a professional to do this as long as they get it right. Figure since most of the mechanical and electrical work is pretty much done, it's time to work on the interior next.
