So this is kinda strange. Stalking Ebay and I come across a listing that says this: jeep cherokee xj parts accessory 97-01 heated seat switches
Starting bid is .99 and free shipping.
No picture though.
So thinking it is just one switch, probably all beat up, thinking I''ll bid .99.
Here is what I received today.
So it is a little beat up. Couple of the tabs are broken but if the switches work should function as it is supposed to.
With tax $1.05. LOL.
In chasing the cause of my P0174 i pulled the throttle body to clean and replace the TPS. Being OCD I had to theow a light coat of black on it considering it is 20+ years old and showing its age.
Got the old motor out. A lot to clean up, a lot to swap, and so far a few things to replace. Clutch slave is beat up, and definitely replacing those e12's with something else. I'm going to swap the exhaust mani's and I have a new flowmaster muffler to install as well. Still gotta get new hoses, fluids etc etc. A long way to go still, but at least my garage is heated.
Got the trans, t-case, clutch and flywheel off the old motor. Going to have to replace the throw out bearing too. Got the manual exhaust onto the new motor and gave it some fresh high heat paint.
Installed factory brush guard and painted my tire carrier.
Super envious. LOL
Especially with the rear tire carrier.
Which license plate lighting kit did you end up with?
Been scoping out a few in anticipation of possibly doing this myself.
Also congrats on getting the mounting points for the brush guard.

Also envious here to. A Federal Emissions '00.
Mine is CA Emissions. Not that it is that much of a big deal but always figure Federal Emissions is a little easier and cheaper to maintain and fix.
I did find a Federal Emissions '00 in the boneyard and stole one of the two engine wiring harnesses and the ECM.
Might try something someday. Wink, wink.

I used a Blazer 4" LED, I think LPC-w5, sanded and painted. I got impatient and put more holes in my hatch LOL.
About to pull the trigger on an OEM motor/trans mount kit and budget boost. Wheres my W-2?! I'm about ready for tires haha!

Fixed a trashed o-ring on an injector and wrapped the refurbed fuel rail with some fiberglass plus injector #3.... suck it heat soak Wrapped and ready Installed
So a couple weeks ago I went to a boneyard I have never been to before. Saw some stuff I have been looking for. It is close by but just never checked them out until now.
So today I went and scoffed the stuff I wanted. All smaller stuff. $45 and think I overpaid but I don't know these guys like I do at the other boneyards I go to.
So got some tail light harnesses to add to my harness collection.
Couple '97/'98 glove box light switches with the pigtails. Thinking of trying to add one to mine. They stopped putting them in '99's and up.
A couple more fog light switches and a few more of the pigtails for them. I have a project in mind for them.
And I got what was left of the mounting points out of 2 different Jeeps for the retractable cargo cover.
Want to try and put one in my '00.
I was finally able to confirm that besides the plastic mounting points that you can see there are 2 metal ones behind the interior plastic for the 2 behind the rear seat.
The place is not far away but as soon as I got on the highway I set the cruise at 55 MPH, reset the overhead, and stayed in the right lane.
For the 13.7 miles I spent on the highway, one way, according to my overhead I averaged 25.4 MPG.
I was just curious what it would read when I did that. LOL.

Nice score!! Those are super rare, in England at least, because only the 60th Anniversary special edition had heated seats. What are you using them for: Lockers? Lights?

Nope.
Just spare parts.
I installed factory heated seats in my '00, that did not come with them, last year.
How could I resist for a $1.05? LOL.
I know there was not a picture but I really can't believe nobody else bid on them.
That is weird about the 60th Anniversary XJ. I see them from time to time on Craigslist and the one thing I don't see is heated seats in them.
As matter of fact they look basic in the pictures. Only thing that I really see is the '98 Grand Cherokee 5.9 wheels they put on those.
You would think they would be a Limited of sorts and something added to make it special for the 60th anniversary.
They must different in England or I am just not seeing the luxed out ones.
