Yep that is true. The sad thing is that there are about 10 XJs for sale over 10k in my area right now. I think only one had a long arm kit (from RC) and the others all had RC lifts, no sye, stock top arms, dirty inside.... so compared to those, mine would be a steal. And I would still make money.

Well thank you. I would be sad to see it leave though. There is nothing wrong with it and it has been super reliable.

I joined the Rotella fanbase! 198k miles on The Beast, last oil was Royal Purple. Don't remember viscosity. Got a Napa Gold 1626 filter to go with it. Next time I do oil I'm gonna drop the pan and check the pickup strainer, and check for debris at bottom of pan. But that wasn't done today. Just figured I'd put that out there.

Had a slight mishap, NAPA gave me the wrong filter, so had to go back. Also, 5 quarts isn't enough for the thirsty beast, gonna add a quart tomorrow

Welp was hoping a good flush would help but nothing seems to be helping and its not a blend door issue.. So will be saving up to pull the heater core.

YAY!

Blew a transmission line off on the way home and dumped all of the transmission fluid. Glad it happened coming into the neighborhood and I could make it home. What did you do to your Cherokee today?-photo743.jpg after sitting for a while the puddle got much larger. Covered the underside of the Cherokee, the front brakes and drivers side completely. And a streak down the street.

Its stupid that with diesel oil, the big bottles are only 4 qt where normal car oil is a 5 qt jug. Congrats on switching to Rotella too. Thats what I run.

Man! Reminds me of the time the stupid HCV decided to quit on me while I was playing around in a WRA about a mile from my house. Boiled almost all the water out by the time I made it home. Deleted the valve shortly thereafter.

I'm praying (and taking many preventative steps) that I don't suffer the same or similar fates. I have been stranded one to many times on the trails due to some fashion of a failure. Always carried a backup driveshaft (front and rear) and two gallons of water to combat the beasts. My current I am changing directions and fixing everything BEFORE it becomes an issue. Next replacement is radiator and hoses

The one on my Comanche broke yesterday when I tilted the engine back a little to undo the upper bellhousing bolts so it looks like I will be deleting the valve also. Made for a nice drip while I was under there working on it.

Hey I told you to bring the manche over and I would pull the trans. No problem. I would fix your green Jeep as well. But no, you refuse to come over. Dont try to put this on me.

Why not? I still would have a XJ and would be on the search for another. I think that qualifies as ok?

Edit - I popped a piston out tonight. Finally some good news.
