I had a good look over my first Jeep after purchaisng it at the weekend, order the service parts and a lower control arm because it is damaged.
Then went for my first real drive in it since the drive home on Sunday really good and worth the wait.

Well after figuring out my fan clutch was out.. I decided to change it..it only was. Only. $40 ..and a wonderful afternoon..now my xj runs really cool ..it doesn't go past 210 : D.. ..glad I did it...more piece of mind for me..

Did my exhaust manifold and LH motor mount yesterday, found out I need a headpipe too. 
On order, no one in town had one; I still have an exhaust leak. 
My motor mount was so bad, when it came out the sleeve and half of the rubber fell out of it. The engine had to be jacked up over an inch from where it was before to get the bolt through the new mount. You can see where the main fan was rubbing the shroud. Yeah, it was due.

Not really what I did today, more like what someone did to it last night.
As for what I did do, called insurance, filed a police report, and cleaned up the glass while waiting for the glass company to show up to replace it.
