Wasps do both, and they can generally sting multiple times.
Several people have told me they must have been honey bees because wasps don't lose their stingers, but I know these weren't bees because they were yellowjackets...which are ground wasps.
Furthermore, only one of the seven stings left anything in my skin, and it wasn't barbed.
The poison still hurts like a *****, though...
i hate getting stung by those things, i swell up pretty good
Didn't do much to my Cherokee this weekend. Family visiting. We did run a few trails looking at old mining era ruins. My nephew got a kick out of fording a small creek.

Finished my Dana 44 swap. Also did many things on it that the internet (outside of pirate4x4) say are impossible. I now have high steer and long arms (mid arms if you want to be technical) on about 3" of lift.
Did the removable door mod, working on a set of permanent side view mirrors on the front quarters so the man doesn't give me a ticket Thinking about going with full width axles in the next few months, I'd like to run 37-40's and think full width would be my best bet for that. Tomorrow I'm taking the carpet out and seeing just how bad my rust problem is! My XJ is originally from Maine so this should be fun!

Take a wet paper towel and sprinkle Adolf's meat tenderizer on it. Rub on the affected areas. It breaks down the proteins in the bite areas and provides relief.
Anything slightly acidic helps too. Vinegar is a good example. I got stung on the top of my ear by a massive wasp in the Amazon. My ear has been flat on top since I was born, and the damn thing swelled up so much that it looked like a normal ear. I'd been told that saliva helps tame the stinging and kept rubbing some on, but that sucker still hurt like hell.

I just got done installing new leaf springs, new u bolts and new nuts and bolts for the leafs. Was not as difficult as I thought it was going to be.
The back of the car actually moves up and down now, LOL.
Going to do the front springs maybe tomorrow or the next day, Ill see how I feel.

Since Friday: changed TREs and did a driveway alignment, changed the oil and filter, sealed up a rust pinhole on the oil pan, and am picking up a bored TB after work tomorrow. Made a little cargo organizer to keep my gear from scooting around, but it was too dark to snap pics. Only thing left to do is figure out the clunk in the steering (I think the axle side track bar mount is wallowed a little) and to pick up another front shaft to replace my rear that is humming at 65 because of a worn slip yoke.
